Mortgage Attorney Melanie Feliciano Joins Garris Horn LLP

Dallas, TX (July 17, 2020) - Financial services law firm Garris Horn LLP, a virtual law firm focused on financial regulation, announced today that mortgage industry legal and compliance veteran attorney Melanie Feliciano has joined the firm. Feliciano will add a new dimension to the growing legal team, bringing over 15 years of mortgage industry experience. She joins the firm’s leadership team as Partner.

Feliciano previously served as Chief Legal Officer for DocMagic, a company in which she also served previously as Assistant General Counsel. For most of her career, she has focused on federal and state consumer financial protection laws, including RESPA, TILA, TRID, QM, and ECOA. She has advised both lenders and technology providers on compliance technology (RegTech), eServices, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance matters, corporate matters, and operational and risk management issues.
Feliciano also drafts and negotiates contracts, including SaaS agreements, software end-user license agreements and warehouse lending agreements; facilitates the resolution of HR-related issues; and negotiates, resolves, and settles disputes.
